Elderberry is the berry of the Elder plant (Sambucus Nigra). Elder is natures medicine chest- the berries, flowers & leaves can all be used as medicine. Remember in the Harry Potter movies what the most powerful wand in the universe was made of?? Elder wood! Elderberry has been shown in clinical trials to strengthen the cell walls. Echinacea is a well known immune system builder and antimicrobial. Echinacea is effective against viral and bacterial infection. I use our regional Echinacea- Echinacea Purpurea, also known as Purple Coneflower. I use organic Echinacea Purpurea leaf and root in my syrups.
